The COVID pandemic began in March 2020 and officially ended in May 2023.

He doesn’t understand trade because he thinks that trade deficits can be solved via tariffs and that foreign nations pay them.

And you need to update your chart. We’re down about 10% since the date of your screenshot.

Is there no one on the Democratic side who can tell them that this sucks? This is such an embarrassing, wimpy response to our current moment. It would’ve been more impactful for the caucus to stay home and leave half the chamber empty. Your very presence there legitimizes this regime.

I think David Simon (creator of The Wire) captures it pretty well

Rodriguez stood trial last June and was sentenced to 12 years for felony conspiracy and assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon. And on Monday, Trump pardoned Rodriguez, along with 173 others similarly charged with assaulting police officers w/ deadly weapons or causing them serious injury.

The man who tased Fanone is Daniel Rodriguez. He saw Trump call for a protest on Jan. 6, got on a big group chat, told everyone to bring knives and bear spray to Washington, said he would “hang Congress.” After he tased Fanone, he celebrated, telling others he “tased the fuck out of the blue.”

After he got there, rioters dragged him down the steps, pepper-sprayed him, beat him with pipes, tased him repeatedly in the neck, and told him they were going to kill him with his own gun.

Fanone suffered burns, a traumatic brain injury, and a heart attack. He had to retire from the police force.

For a lot of people, for a lot of reasons, this has been a rough week. But I want to focus in on one thing.

This is Michael Fanone. He’s a D.C. police officer. he was beaten within an inch of his life on January 6. Wasn’t even on duty that day—he came in as a response to radio calls for assistance.

It’s truly wild. Like, there’s no way she actually wrote this. Humans don’t talk like this. This is ad copy.

I’m not a resident of NYC, but from an outsider’s perspective the teeth seem pretty useless when you’ve already installed a perfectly good set of monkey bars to help people clear the turnstile

I'm getting more Bunsen and Beaker vibes.
