Mamdani quoted Mario Cuomo *and* referenced the Good Cuomo’s 1984 speech about Reagan’s “shining city on a hill.” Not sure if people are fully appreciating our new mayor’s scope of vision & history, love of language & heritage, or his apparent willingness to put that knife in a motherfucker.

it’s disintegration discourse season already??? Great! I’ve never gotten so many abusive posts from hammer & sickle avatars as when I said on Twitter that Disintegration is indirectly/directly why so much alt metal is atmospheric mush. (I like disintegration tbc… but boy has it had a bad influence)

Good stuff. Geese isn't for me, but I've been a lil confused by the stray shots of discourse flying by. This helped orient me on that.
But, to be fair the stuff I'm obsessed with right now is like, Skinhead, the D4 comp that just came out, and an old John Cale record, so I'm far from the target.
