From amongst the "foetid" archway of scrawny trees, yesterday:
- Blackthorn berry mother-load.
- Lichen (see ALT for Gemini's best guess on the species).
- Rotten (crab apple?) fruit impaled on a branch, really fermenting the atmosphere.

#MacroMonday - SLR shots, abandoned railway ride 2:
- Even a dishevelled Blackberry stem can strike a dramatic pose with this light!
- Red & green.
- White Dead-nettle + guest...
- Ivy, back home, this how ladybirds hibernate?

'Fun' due to being so narrow, at the top of an overgrown embankment, with tree roots criss-crossing. Only just starting to get muddy.
Flat. But reminded me of the downhill bike phase I went through in my first year of university. I didn't have the stamina for, even then.

On my longest (by mistake) SLR bike ride, a fortnight ago before it was so cold, I traversed a fun track paralleling an abandoned railway...
... Found a pretty #sunset and some (distant) sheeps! Macro shots tomorrow.

- Weigela (florida?), one decent bloom on a tall bush.
- Cheeseweed (Malvaceae).
- Horseweed (or maybe Fleabane again).
- Rose (Austrian copper?).

Alternative shots of the above two, separate plants.
Bonus of a slightly different plant, early August, that's more sparse and uneven: "Austroderia toetoe (Zotov) N.P.Barker & H.P.Linder", no common name..? I'll say Pampus grass too!

Pampas-grass, or PlantNet says "Cortaderia selloana (Schult. & Schult.f.) Asch. & Graebn"!

- I couldn't just crop this splendid (Monterey cypress?) tree out from above.
- Assorted shapes stepping up to another Windmill palm, across the park, oddly mirroring the one I posted yesterday.
Random people's front gardens, all.

- Sunlit Juniperus (maybe) makes me think: green cloth for cue sports.
- Thuja and/or Juniperus(?), look almost sanded vs trimmed.
- Ilex(?), so spherical, might float away!

- Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus fortunei), seems unlikely in our clime.
- Monkey puzzle, neater than ours.
- Satisfying join of 3 ornamental conifers.
- Pine (Pinus) offering a needled hand..?

- One more Dahlia Monday!
- We've no idea what this (opposite the cows), maybe a Garden Tree Mallow?
- Common Ivy forming very neat berries (apparently).

- Japanese Mahonia, mid October on an early SLR ride.
- Crop in on the dainty little blooms.
- Another of half a dozen of these tall bushes I've found around the neighbourhood (sorry, not shallow focus).

These guys were a little wet from watering, which looked odd, like hot glue drips:
- Echeveria succulents.
- Begonias.
- A final Dahlia.
