Problems are starting to pile: 🙄
- OnePlus 8T just got The Green Line problem while cooking, so have to rush a replacement handset. Fraught due to my screen intolerances. Supplanting ...

Some phone pics of flowers along my SLR ride a couple weeks ago:
- One more Dahlia Monday!
- We've no idea what this (opposite the cows), maybe a Garden Tree Mallow?
- Common Ivy forming very neat berries (apparently).

#SkySaturday - we're deep into greys and blacks, at least by the time I get up and about!:
- Puddle meets sky, waterlogged new estate path.
- Moon vs autumn leaves composite, two focal lengths crudely Photoshopped into one sharp image.

#HedgerowWednesday - these beasts can be many things:
- Intimidating serpentine barrier to mysteries.
- Straight sharp roadside skirting-board.
- A lumbering life-form in its own right.
- Occasional weekend chore.

2 fun highlights from full YT vid:
- Davis: BH4's like Methyl-B9, shared synthesis issues for some. Students did mass spec' on yogurts for BH4.
- Systrom: muscle mitos fewer in #MEcfs, measuring mtDNA or citrate synthase. No compensatory increase like genetic mito disease (Naviaux).
As part of our Triple Giving November campaign, we’re pleased to share a video interview with Dr. Ron Davis and Dr. David Systrom.

Together, they discuss how problems with oxygen supply and energy production may underlie #MECFS.

Miserable Monday 🌧

- Calendula (Pot Marigold), nearby & also damp 3 weeks ago.
- More cheery, adjacent gazania opened since: bsky.app/profile/z3r0...

Scruffy Saturday - from our neighbourhood on various SLR bike rides:

- Snapdragon, somehow comfy growing in a high wall!
- Michaelmas daisies, big patch, small heads.
- Ours in back garden.

#FarmFriday - Excited to finally catch some cows, last weekend, on a flat slow 7km SLR ride reaching the edge of an adjacent village.
- Calendula officinalis, in a front garden opposite. (Glad I don't live with that manure smell.)

#ThrowbackThursday - sedum (stonecrop):
- I found some of a variety that had fully opened up, on bike across the main road in September.

#HedgerowWednesday - we are definitely a nation fond of extreme plant shaping. Two of the neatest examples I've spotted (phone pics):
- Evergreens cut so sharp & angled they look fake.
- Huge bulbus mass of fine-leaved holly.
- Bonus cat! (July)

Autumn sun SLR ride 2, a long road I've seldom self propelled along since high school cross-country runs:
- Ridge & furrow field, medieval strip farming see [ALT].
- Double tree-lined prettiness.
- Sun-haloed weeds, hedge.
- Some fool on 2 wheels.

Shallow Focus Sunday:
- Bushgrass/Feathertop (Calamagrostis epigejos), epitomising what I'm after with these weekly SLR shots. Unique long row besides a driveway.
- Geraniums by our back door still very red, after the rain, last week.

#SkySaturday - awing to look out/up at these ponderous giants looming overhead:
- Stratocumulus, billowing over, heading out Thursday.
- Cirrus, I watched this huge feathery structure unfurl returning from a ride.
- I miss my bedroom's sunsets.

#Halloween - what better day to do as the Boo Radley's sang "You have to put the death in everything":
- Blackberries(?), lovely rusted leaves with small spider web.
- Nigella damascena, skeletal seed pods, nothing like the blooms.

#ThrowbackThursday - this bizarre plant sprang from a neighbour's dense front border, early June. Disappeared days later...

On my bike, late summer, I found several smaller examples (eg shot 3): Yucca plant inflorescences!
