On top of the opportunity to advocate for the pharmacy profession today at PSW Legislative Day, I am ecstatic to announce I matched at Froedtert Main Campus as a PGY1 Acute Care Resident!

Thank you to my mentors, preceptors, professors, and those who have shown me love :)

This is an excellent piece documenting how hydroxychloroquine became MAGA’s favorite COVID cure despite not actually being effective against the disease.

Dr. Fauci and his team played a big part in making this possible.
After nearly three decades, a Minnesota summer camp for kids with HIV/AIDS is closing and up for sale... because retroviral drugs are so effective that there aren't enough campers.

Science works, y'all.

I like this!

Not only defibrillators (AEDs), fire extinguishers & first-aid kits should be mandated in public spaces

Having EpiPens (auto-injecting devices that contain epinephrine) readily available sounds a nice idea

The key takeaway is that the world’s richest man got what he wanted; stripped our cancer funding for kids, killed reforms to bring down drugs prices and caps on investment in China. Trump on the other hand demanded a debt ceiling raise and got nothing.

1/ Keppra (levetiracetam) loading dose isn’t 1-2g for all status epilepticus patients.

Recommended dose is 60 mg/kg (max 4.5g) as per the landmark ESETT trial.

Important to give full dose especially when case warrants it.

Some of the disease-causing bacteria in raw milk: Listeria, Salmonella, E. coli, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus aureus, Yersinia, Brucella, and Coxiella. Also the parasite Cryptosporidium.

There’s a good reason for food regulations: they keep people from dying for stupid reasons. 🧪
Yesterday, I interviewed three dairy safety scientists and asked a few basic questions about raw and pasteurized milk.

Drinking unpasteurized milk is “a really stupid, bad idea,” said John Lucey, the director of the Center for Dairy Research at University of Wisconsin at Madison.

RFK Jr. says he drinks raw milk. How safe is unpasteurized milk?
Raw milk can pose a serious health risk, especially for children and older adults.
