Aaaaaanyways…. That’s how I ended up flying a Grumman Tiger into JFK in the early 00s.
They waived most of the fees for a quick gas-n-go. We cleared Customs and then scooted up the Hudson to park at TEB.
It didn’t work out with the girl.

That’s when I found out that, last minute, I couldn’t get US Customs to meet me at any of the airports right along the border, or at Teterboro, where I planned to park for the day.
She was really cute, and I didn’t want to disappoint her.
A conundrum. I made some frantic calls.

As a foreigner I find it bizarre that your elections are overseen by elected (partisan) officials and administered at the state level, with different rules from place to place.
Maybe it’s just what I’m used to, but I prefer paper ballots overseen by a non-partisan elections agency.
