Hey Royal Doulton, granted in 1975 when you made this Anne Boleyn bust it had been 439 years since she was executed but still, I'm going to say "too soon guys, too soon."

That axe is just in poor taste.

I do kind of love it though. What's that say about me?

Eilean Donan Castle on the West coast of the Scottish mainland. No, it's not a model. It's real.

Above it's entrance is a motto in Gaelic that translates to "As long as there's a MacRae inside, there will never be a Fraser outside."

I was outside. The MacRaes must all have been out.

Looking SW at Loch Ness, from Dores Beach, near-ish to Inverness.

Does it get better than this? No. It doesn't.

Ben Nevis, at 1345 metres, the highest peak in Scotland.

It's the peak in the distance, not the one at the right hand side of the frame.

Over there from left to right are the isles of Eigg, Rum, and Skye, as viewed from the Jacobite Express just prior to arrival in Mallaig.

The Jacobite Express, aka 'the Harry Potter train', at Fort William being readied to take us to Mallaig.

Fun fact, the train never transported the actual Jacobites since the line wasn't to be built until about 150 years later, nor did it transport Harry Potter as he's a fictional character.

The girders in some of the Victorian era stations on ScotRail's Edinburgh to Glasgow route are painted up to look real nice. This is the station in Perth.

The infrastructure in Scotland is really well developed compared to Canada. Affordable travel by rail covers most of the country.

John Knox didn't own this house but may have lived in it and may have died in it.

Regardless, it juts way out onto the sidewalk on the Royal Mile, just as my nose juts way out into the frame.

This cathedral is 901 years old and I've seen no evidence that anyone has photographed it with their nose before.

Probably they have, but I've not seen the evidence.

This street has a pleasing curvature to it, and a steep incline.

Both things could maybe also be said about some people's noses.

Here's another, in case you didn't get it the first time. You did get it though, I'm certain. You're a clever trousers. Everybody says so.

I don't travel much but when I do a I take photos where my nose is at the side of the frame. This amuses me and I suppose makes my photo unique to all the other photos being taken by all the other travelers.

Anyway, here's one taken on the journey I'm on at the moment. More to follow.
