Heartbroken for Alberta teachers today.

A little over two weeks ago I deleted X. It was a time suck, an energy sapper and so full of misinformation and disgusting comments. Happy to report its freed up my day substantially and I don’t miss it at all.

Are some of you posting solely over here now? I miss some familiar faces from the other app that made me laugh.

I know it’s probably not the right choice but does anyone else feel like just burying their head in the sand and trying to disengage from news? It all seems like 💩 with no hope of positive change.

This week was an exhaustion level I should have known to expect but somehow was blindsided by. Teaching is so much being with others, it is truly exhausting. I am done with people.

I think I’m excited to be here, but I’m also shell shocked. Coming online and seeing reasonable back and forth now appears alarming in comparison to what I’ve seen before. Will take time to readjust to what always should have been. ❤️
