Like the concept of Yutori ゆとりConsciously slowing down to allow us to savour the world around us with no goal except to see and be. Spaciousness.
Another beautiful day

And here’s one adventure that included many long walks ‘off the beaten track’ in Pakistan as me & a few friends journeyed across Pakistan, up to and across from Gilgit–Hunza-Skardu in the mid 80s.

That journey for me was inspired by Dervla Murphy ‘Where the Indus is young’

8 weeks today since the #prostatectomy & all is going well. I’m essentially now cancer free. PSA tests for the next 5 years to double check.

This week I’ve walked two 10.5 mile sections of the south west coast path … & life is grand. #YutoriWalking has been key to recovery.

I very much look forward to this!

We’re surrounded by beautiful chalk grasslands here that I feel fortunate to walk along & as wonderfully captured by @annadillon.bsky.social & @hedleythorne.bsky.social

A fabulous day. 14.5km on the Dorset coast. Definitely #YutoriWalking

7 weeks post prostatectomy & the all clear (well as clear as can be - PSA levels undetectable & consultant says all cancer removed … PSA tests every 6 months for 5 years to be sure … but what a relief 🎉).

This is my favourite approach up on to a local hill. Seeing the walnut tree is like seeing an old friend and receiving a warm hug

What better way to start the day than taking the Office Assistant (retired) aka Otto, for a walk involving a cooling pool to play in … and blackberries for a snack

I always wonder where people are heading to and what adventures await them

Too hot for a long walk today. So I took a bimble over our local hill - an iron hill fort founded around 550BC.

This walnut tree is one of my most favourite trees ever - I love its structure, the shade it gives on hot days like today .. folks picking the walnuts .. kids playing on it

Another 24.38km #YutoriWalking up on local hills.
