@rakhim.org hey! Just saw some traffic coming to my blog from Minifeed and checked it out. The recommendations/similar posts feature is honestly great!

Apple being unhappy with an imposed process that is "unreasonable, costly and stifles innovation" is just beautiful karma

Fighting for the "high" honor of the worst US administration ever.
The Trump administration intends to deport a Harvard scientist back to Russia, government lawyers told a federal judge on Wednesday. The scientist fled the country in 2022 and fears she will be arrested there over her protest of Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Airbnb launches this every single year. We all forget and then they just announce it again. They can't keep getting away with it

I think people like @viticci.macstories.net and @chrislawley.me switching from an iPad to a Mac is a sentence for iPadOS

Apple really has to either invest in it or finally delegate iPad to watching YouTube and forget about its aspirations

Whoop just released their newest band, but I'm convinced that these health metrics are just horoscopes for adults

Same goes for recovery metrics in Garmin or Apple Watch apps

CarPlay is much better than what we had before, but I still prefer a great built-in multimedia. But only when they do this right (which is almost never).

AI is going to replace everyone, which is why today I couldn't make either ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude remove repeating lines from a CSV file

The US tariffs will likely force most companies to raise prices around the world to subsidize the US demand

Which is sad but expected

Now might be a good time to buy all those things on your wishlist before they get more expensive

Considering all the hype about "calm" devices I'm surprised nobody made a WHOOP-like strap for the Apple Watch that covers the screen

Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago:

—Pioneering cancer researcher;
—*Arrested* at airport in Boston;
—Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana;
—"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research.

Read it.

New images could change cancer diagnostics, but ICE detained the Harvard scientist who analyzes them
Without scientist Kseniia Petrova’s expertise, no one can fully unlock the data’s potential, putting crucial advancements in early cancer detection at risk.

It's 2025, and YouTube still forgets where you left off in a video half the time.

Can't they just buy this amazing technology from Netflix or literally anyone else?

M.G. Siegler has one of the best blogs out there. He's both extremely smart and knows how to write well, which is a rare combo.

My 2018 iPad Pro had to go because the screen cracked after the aftermarket battery replacement.

I remember reading that the founder of IKEA believed an IKEA product isn't complete without a price. This 2024 iPad is great... until you look at the price.

Substack ended up doing all the things they said they'd never do.

Probably because they realized these things actually bring revenue and control.

Bryan Johnson immediately lost all his credibility when he started selling supplements

Supplements is a cutthroat market of generic goods with questionable efficacy defined by your acquisition costs

His public presence simply enabled him to acquire customers through a unique direct channel
