Did you see the Shortstack Milwaukie project? They have built-in (exterior) bike racks, which I thought was cool, although I dunno how many people would want to store their bikes facing the street.

Hypothetically you could use the five green spaces in Ladd's as the foundation of an arcology without actually displacing any residents. However, I suspect they would still be upset about, you know, the whole "blocking out the sun" part.

As I mentioned in my last thread, we are months if not years away from having a functioning Office for Community-based Police Accountability, and in a few weeks, we'll have NO functioning system of police oversight if the City cannot reach an agreement with their represented staff.

For the past five years, IPR staff have worked to keep the City in compliance with the Department of Justice Settlement without clear assurances about their future or their livelihoods, an experience can only be described as Kafkaesque.

The City owes them a fair and equitable contract.
