This administration is making me cheer on Harvard, and this is frickin' unforgivable.

Yesterday was incredible. The official count is in — 5.2 million people joined the #HandsOff protest nationwide. So many are asking: what’s next? Mark your calendars: 4/19 is the next nationwide day of protest.

During the presidential campaign, I wrote an op-ed about how Trump’s proposed policies would be bad for ocean science and conservation, and senior members of my field told me I was being unprofessional.

Thinking about them as I read a news story called “the darkest day in scientific history.”

If all the Dem Senators take a shift for 3-4 hours each and do what @booker.senate.gov is doing and rotate— it will last for days and overshadow this regime. #keepgoing #hope

After 24 hours on his feet, Cory Booker is defending the scientific research establishment of this country - calling out an experience like the one that drives me and SO MANY of my fellow scientists to do the work we do - that maybe we can do for others what we couldn't for our own loved ones.
