I'm most at home in one of the most inhospitable places on earth - what I call "the high granite" - the granite peaks above treeline. This particular spot is right on the Alaska-BC border 80 miles south of my home. A few months ago I did a nude hike to a spot in Greenland that I fell in love with.

Articles like this provide an excellent opportunity to help #NormalizeNudity, and I've also shared it on both my non-naturist Bluesky page and Facebook.

For people bothered by the dark, it's a great investment in health.

If the grey gets you down, it can make a big difference. A SAD light and a hot tub get me through these winters.

Yes, even if it's only a state of mind, it's still a benefit 🙂

That's what I think. It's not reasonable to think that exposing your body's largest sensory organ to sunlight - real or artificial - has no effect.

I spent 11 days on a wilderness canoe trip with my 42-year-old son this past summer. I was naked most of the time - he was only visibly uncomfortable when he thought other people were getting "too close." I hoped he would eventually shed his clothes as well but it never happened. To each their own.

Being naked doesn't make it more effective, apparently - whatever 😀

Mine was an exercise in pure logic. I was on an overnight solo hike in a remote area. It was hot. My clothes became soaked in sweat and very uncomfortable. So I removed them all. That was 37 years ago and I seldom hike clothed on warm days anymore. I shot 2 photos of that aspect of that hike.

Yes, it certainly is. And it attracts a certain type of people - genuine folks who value nature and community and themselves. People I like to be around - when I'm in the mood to be around people at all.

Your use of "plummet" is similar to our use of "highway" - apply loosely 😆

I have a sister living in Southern California who regularly reminds me what her cooler days look like, when people have their big fluffy jackets on 😆

Toughens you up, boosts your immune system. It looks weird (so the neighbours say, anyway 😂) but it's very healthy.

If our local hot springs spa had a naked day, I would go there for the social aspect. Without a naked day, I stay at home with my hot tub and home gym.

"Black Friday" as a sales event seems to last for a month now - is there still an actual day?

Thank you. My surgeon is one of the best in Canada and he's certain he got it all. The size of the hole he cut in my gut makes me pretty sure he's right.
