Naturist, wilderness hiker, photographer, dog lover, lover of fine automobiles, septuagenarian. This is my naturist-only account. I'm building a nudist/naturist community and only naturists are allowed to Follow - I Block all others.
Hiking in places like Mine Mountain just north of Skagway, Alaska, requires well-developed off-trail navigation skills. I posted this on both my non-naturist pages this morning - I always enjoy it when someone asks if I'm naked (so I can reply "if you have to ask, does it matter?) 🙂

I'm pleased to see one of my favourite historians describing another little-known (or long-forgotten) bit of Vancouver-area history, including acknowledgement and perhaps even celebration of the fact that nudity was common in counter-culture communities of that period. evelazarus.com/a-short-hist...

It's cold and dreary (-11C) but I have my SAD light and hot tub, and the wood stove is cranked so I can deal with Father Winter's long visit.

One of the realities of climate change in the Yukon is that the clear skies and deep cold of 30 years ago are gone - winters are much warmer and the skies are often cloudy. That makes a full-spectrum SAD light an important self-care tool for some of us to deal with the darkness.

This time of year, I often think that for someone who loves both warmth and the freedom from wearing clothes, this might not be a great choice as a place to live. Damn the winters are long...

With the temperature right at freezing, today was a good day to get a few minutes of Wim Hof-ish cold therapy. The forecast is for the same tomorrow, then it's going to get cold again. The little dome is one of 7 that protect my best shrubs against moose browsing - they took a beating last year.

Love Black Friday! As long as I keep the wood stove cranked up, that is. It's -15C outside right now, though, so there will be no forest walks.

The snow is getting deeper by the week, but after a rough spell I'm working on getting back into shape. Three weeks ago, the day after my 75th birthday, I had successfully surgery for what turned out to be rectal cancer. With the reality of mortality firmly in mind, I'm moving on with fun plans now.

Even a nice grounding stroll around my property is good for my head in these stressful times. It's 11C, which is really good for mid-October here - some years we're a foot deep in snow now.

We're having another spell of really nice weather to make getting all the Fall jobs around the property easier, at least for a couple of hours in the afternoon (highs are 8-10C).

The path I was walking on yesterday ❤️

It's Fall now. Time to get two more steps done with the firewood - getting it into the basement wood room, and stacking it there. The next step is putting it into the stove to get that lovely wood heat.

Back in the days of film, I was often worried about shooting nudes, as the people running the machines in my local shops could see them. I only ever had two comments, though - a man said it looked like I had a particularly good weekend, and 2 young women asked if they could join me on an outing.

It looks like today will be the final day of naked walks. The high is only going to 15C, but with sun and no wind, my favourite lake has potential. I'll take the motorcycle so it will be a win regardless of what else happens 🙂 (the poor dogs won't be able to join me, though)

The huge improvement in my mobility/flexibility after an 11-day wilderness canoe trip proves that if I had the dedication, I could do something like that pose even at 75 years of age. Beautiful photo as well as being inspiring. (also shared in my non-naturist account - #NormalizeNudity)

Our season will be over in a couple of weeks, but I'm thinking about laying claim to this trail/route as "Clothing Optional" next year. I've done it for day hikes I've organized - put up a notice saying that this trail is being used by the local nudist hiking club (which doesn't actually exist).

Sometimes I use my daypack and its shadow to help make a #NormalizeNudity statement. This photo will be in today's blog post about a hike on Wednesday, a few paragraphs after a comment that "on a day like this, in a place like this, wearing clothes isn't logical."

"Welcome to the U.S.A." says the sign. But at dawn yesterday I was standing in Canada, and although I really miss my regular visits to Skagway, Alaska, for the foreseeable future that's as close to the USA as I'll be getting 😔

Five days ago I posted that I needed to get out into the mountains to celebrate the amazing weather we're having, and Summit Creek would be the first destination.Yesterday, it was, and today it was again ❤️
September 4, 2025 at 4:15 AM
I was playing on the beach at Summit Lake with my dog Tucker this morning. A couple of tour busses came along and parked so all the folks could get out and take photos. I thought about what to do and decided "fuck it - I was here first" and we continued our play 😀 #NormalizeNudity

When possible, I enjoy posting photos that clearly show me naked, without showing me naked, to help #NormalizeNudity. Yesterday was a major gardening day. I removed clover that has taken over the bee garden from the catnip bed, and several bees, flies, and butterflies appeared within minutes.

Mother Nature is continuing to send us incredible weather to end the summer, and I need to get out into the mountains. This place, Summit Creek, a 90-minute drive from home, will be the first destination ❤️

A few days into the Yukon River trip, while we had stopped for a break, my paddle-partner said something about another canoe coming, and that they could see me. I understood what he meant, but I was in a proper state of attire for that place and wasn't about to change that (we knew it was 2 men).

I didn't get nearly as much hiking done as I had planned on my Yukon River canoe trip, but this short but steep one was excellent.
