The study’s lead author, Dr. Ahmad Firas Khalid, led the WHA SIM during his time as a Sessional Assistant Professor in the School of Global Health. Now a Senior Policy Analyst with the Government of Canada, his foundational work continues to shape this innovative experiential education initiative.

Professor Godfred Boateng and SGH students, Ann Kwarteng, Salwa Regragui, and Tricia Tetteh, co-authored a study on how child welfare & justice encounters impact Black youth mental health. Findings: this population experienced psychosocial weathering, hypervigilance, and insecurity.
