Can AI diagnose patients as well as regular doctors? The data seem muddy. A new JAMA paper reports a randomized clinical trial that ChatGPT does as well as doctors in diagnosing patients (/v @owasow.bsky.social). Important, if it holds up. And this kind of domain-specific AI seems plausible. 1/3
