Reading was a challenge at firs & it destroyed me to lose that ability for what I thought was forever. Then my dad found the audiobook, and boom, I had hospital entertainment & comfort. I didn’t remember Jan 6, until I rewatched the footage, but because I’d basically memorized your book by then,

Then (plot twist) I somehow got meningitis during a Covid lockdown (fantastic genetics) & was in a coma for 3 weeks. Recovery was long but I was extremely lucky that my senses and brain eventually made a full recovery. My short term memory took months to come back, but I remembered your book.

When I got my hands on Culture Warlords (must have been late summer 2020), it possessed me entirely.
I read it 3 times back to back & treated it as a bible for investigating & understanding the far-right before and after Jan 6.

It was also validating for the current struggle. CW pushed me to pursue investigative work and as a career…rather than a strange hobby that made people question my sanity. I was deeply embedded in militia forums, reporting to no one but tunneling ever-deeper into the ugliest corners of the web.

Pulled an all nighter yesterday reading it! I saved the last chapter to read after work (before latke prep) and just finished..
