The vodka one set in the depths of the Uncanny Valley is the only one that I flagged immediately, though admittedly I haven't been paying super close attention to the ads.

That's also why there are 5 skaters instead of 4 in the final: the Japanese skater who got obstructed in Bradbury's heat was allowed to advance as well.
February 6, 2026 at 6:41 PM
Even better, Bradbury did basically the same thing in the semi-final: he was in last place at the last turn until the 2nd place skater obstructed the 3rd place skater. 3rd place wiped out, 2nd place was DQ'd, and Bradbury qualified for the final.

Good song with a great title: Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued by Fall Out Boy

(They wanted to name it "My Name Is David Ruffin And These Are The Temptations")

Seems like this might be a decent look at where the fight-fold split in the Dem caucus actually lies. Not perfect (lol at Reed being on team "fight"), but more revealing than the choreographed bs on the larger votes
January 31, 2026 at 2:01 AM
Plus another 10% of the caucus is retiring (Wikipedia currently lists 21/213), so we're potentially looking at a serious amount of turnover between House Dems now and next year.
January 30, 2026 at 1:56 AM
It's also a continuation of the strategy they tried to use during the Cabinet confirmations: they think blanket opposition will lower then chances of "moderate" Republicans defecting on votes against the worst excesses of the admin. It didn't work then, so I don't know why they're still trying it

Or if you want the other past tense:

Du doinktest
Er/sie/es doinkte
Wir doinkten

Funniest combination of two plot lines from today: the suspicious polymarket bet was placed by an NYT reporter who got leaked the plans and decided not to publish so they could get rich.

Does it matter if the cause is actually good? Trick question, because they chose to do it and they're good people so it must be good.
January 3, 2026 at 7:30 PM
They think they are good people, so any action they choose is therefore a good thing. And if that action is obviously bad (like invading a country and kidnapping its leader), well it was for a good cause so it's still good.
January 3, 2026 at 7:30 PM
It's the "good people/bad people" distinction that conservatives instinctively follow but applied to the whole country.

Whoever convinced Schumer that the optimal strategy in all situations was to call for a Congressional briefing needs to be locked out of every Dem office going forward.

Trump has apparently decided that January 3 is "Cause an international crisis day." It's basically a tradition at this point: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassi...

No posts or messages from either the current rep (Larson) or the better-funded primary challenger (Bronin) as far as I can tell

Similar message from one of the primary challengers in CT-01
Starting a war without legal authority and abducting foreign leaders is a dangerous abuse of power. Congress needs to wake up before another generation of young Americans is sent to die in a fool's war over oil.

I think this is just how they write. They said basically the same thing about Biden when his approval went from 45% to 38% in just two months: apnews.com/article/bide...
