Last year, a massive wind destroyed part of the enormous locust tree in my parents' backyard. On my visit last weekend, I saw that it was growing tiny new branches and leaves. Here are some before/after pictures.

Renewal is sometimes unexpected and always ongoing.

I am not particularly religious, but there are some Jewish traditions that I quite like, such as baking honey cake on Rosh Hashanah.

Buck's Rock, the summer camp that I attended as a teen, recently hosted their first weekend-long session for adults (including but not limited to alumni). I am so lucky and so grateful that I got to participate. Here are some of the things I made.

Every year, my mom sends me cuttings from the forsythia bush in her backyard, with instructions to put them in water and wait.

I wish you all bright and blossoming things even if you have to wait for them.
