💯 agreed! This is my third PAXU in a row and a lot of the accepted panels are feeling baseline and repetitive. We have to move past just the bare minimum of “be inclusive” to panels that involve marginalized folx in conversations not just defined by their identities, otherwise we miss the point!
I’m so tired of panels focused on “hi I’m a marginalized creator, treat me like a person please”
I’m still salty about both parenting and Asian horror panels not being picked up by PAX but “being a marginalized creator” did
