Given he grew up with devils, willing to bet he is WAY more careful with contracts and wording! There might be collab-ing, but his stuff is always gonna be in writing. And as far as he is concerned, propagandist goes LOWER than him on the ladder and they'd be after each other's throats before long.

2/2 nobody knows how he even GOT THERE or really what to do with him besides let him work and wait for somebody at a higher pay grade to figure it out. He likely would have developed at VoxTech tho.

I thought around an AU once that was basically "what if there was a clerical mistake and the Flymms accidentally sold their son to the wrong Hell?" and it was Gortash growing up with a much more scary grasp of advanced technology and being relatively avoided in Hell because he's not a sinner and 1/2

Okay I am of the belief that Gortash is too paranoid not to do this as quietly as possible but the idea of the entire operation being utterly bull-in-china-shop and still succeeding is also hilarious.

"oh noooo your new BF died? just like that? for no reason? How terrible and unpredictable! Did you get the stone yet" win or lose it is never acknowledged, just him being momentarily passive-aggressive then returning to business as usual. 2/2

4/4 (and we know he did), Gortash was able to leave. He argued his way out. (combine the two even, because even if Raphael has to let him go that doesn't mean a free ride back to Faerun.)

3/? is that Gortash legally changed his name (his surname was originally Flymm) and convinced Raphael it was purely out of disconnecting from his birth family and was likely seeds long sewn, a known enmity. The name on the contract is Flymm so as soon as Raph acknowledged Gortash as his name

2/? Raph was gonna keep that to himself and basically trick Gortash into entering another before he turned 18. He just took off before that could happen. I have multiple thoughts on how this occurred. One is that Hope had a way out she wouldn't take without her sister and slipped it to him. Another

The way I always wrote it is that man took five minutes in private to mourn, do all his feelings, write it down in code then IMMEDIATELY put it away because the plot continues and Orin is waiting for him to react and he won't give her the satisfaction. All that stays in a box until it's all done.
