Military Policeman here. Let me explain Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. An order is unlawful if it violates the Constitution, U.S. laws, military regulations, directs a service member to commit a crime or unethical act, or is otherwise beyond the authority of the issuing officer.
