Union lawyer.
I have been banging on about this since March, but I’ll just say it again since it keeps coming up, this time in Rao’s dissent. The reason Humphrey’s executor didn’t sue for reinstatement should be apparent from the name of the case. Humphrey was dead.

Tiny little Nazi flag and swastika above his left ear.

Hey ICE agents and CBP officers, have you noticed that some of your friends are wearing American flags with little pictures of skulls on them? Huh. What do you make of that? www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/i...

Screen grab from that video shows the CBP officer wearing a Punisher logo. “Are we the baddies?” No, seriously. There is no excuse for wearing a damn Totenkopf.

I can't tell the difference.

My own theory is that it was this photo in the New York Times that did him in.

The other EO today explicitly asserts that there is an insurrection by “State and local officials.”

The affidavit references a "back jury door," a "jury door," a "backdoor of the courtroom," and a "non-public door near the courtroom's jury box." Is this all the same door? Why characterize it in so many different ways? Is it just the door to the jury room, which then leads to the public hallway?

I’m sure this has nothing to do with it.

For any American who believes in the legacy of Dr, King and everything he fought for, wake up now.

Hey, give them a *little* credit. They got the right court this time - unlike yesterday's Kozak declaration, which had a U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia caption even though this case is in Maryland.

Once again, if you think about it for five seconds, you might be able to discern why Humphrey's *executor* did not seek Humphrey's reinstatement. www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/24...

When you sign up to be a Block Captain for Elon Musk, this is the email you get from America PAC. It says you "will earn $20 for every Wisconsin voter you recruit - and they'll get $20 too." This is not for signing a petition. It's given out to people who "recruit" voters and the voters themselves.

Musk and America PAC are now saying they'll give $20 to their "block captains" for each resident they recruit to post pro-Schimel photos near a voting location on election day. block-captain.theamericapac.or

It is election bribery in the State of Wisconsin to offer to give anyone anything of value to induce anyone to vote or refrain from going to the polls or voting for any particular candidate. docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/sta...

If this is a legitimate image from tonight's rally, Elon Musk is offering $20 for people to canvass and pose with a photo of Brad Schimel and a thumbs up, and an additional $20 for doing it near a polling site. @joshkaulwi.bsky.social - if there is no arrest here, the law means nothing.

This is what passes for a "rigorous process" for vetting TdA members, according to the DOJ in briefing to the Supreme Court.
March 28, 2025 at 9:55 PM
DOJ to SCOTUS in its brief today: there is "no reason for judges to infer that human rights are being jettisoned." Meanwhile, Noem poses in front of prisoners stacked like cordwood, saying it's a "tool" they're using, and Trump talks about the famously "lovely conditions" there.

If tattooed Venezuelans -> proof of gang membership in Tren de Aragua, Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras had better watch out I guess? Actually seems the MLB won’t be able to field a lot of teams next week if we just give Trump the unchecked power to send em all to a penal colony.

I was following this last night when the order came down. At least one plane was in the air. According to Flightaware, it took off at 4:45 p.m. CDT and landed at 6:02 p.m. CST (7:02 p.m. CDT). @chrisgeidner.bsky.social posted that the judge had ordered the plane turned around at 5:49 p.m. CDT.

Gorsuch and Alito bought this argument in their dissent. Just in case you were keeping score of how bad arguments get regurgitated at the highest level.

While NY et al. are fighting it out in NY v. Trump, former Confederate states (plus a few acquisitions, like Idaho), are filing amicus briefs in the Supreme Court supporting Trump's right to fire whomever he pleases. We're re-enacting the Civil War through litigation. Have we ever seen this before?

Dellinger's lawyers noticed this, fortunately. www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/24...
