Loved reading that. Chuffed to bits with the shout out to the design of the implementation of automatic enrolment with large employers first, which my team at DWP designed. The best thing I worked on in a 37 year career.

Having done jury service, if I ever went to trial I would want a professional judge deciding on my case thankyou very much.

Also Funnybones by Allan Ahlberg.

My 7 year old grandson still loves the Hairy Maclary books by Lynley Dodd. They are good as a transition to reading by himself, but he loves them being read still. Also Allan Ahlberg, The Jolly Postman, Miss Dose the doctor's daughter, a whole series of those in the Happy Families series.

Ordered mine already. Always an exciting day for those of us with a seed problem.

What possessed them to propose it in the first place? I voted for change at the general election. I never thought this was what they had in mind.

Tremendous!

The reaction may well depend on who is affected by any tax rise.

I have a Samsung S10e which suits my small hands very nicely. It now has 2 holes in the screen but still works. Hoping it stays that way. All new phones far too big for me.

I have been very happy with my Dunlop wellies. Not hideously expensive.

It was all over Adrian Chiles' programme on Radio 5. He actually said "we have to cover it". No you don't. Are all the party press conferences given air time? No they are not. Even the dodgy numbers were quoted.

It has been a great year for tomatoes. Passata, soup, pickled cherries, sauce, salad. It has been a deluge.

A lovely artistic arrangement too.

Get well very soon.

Similar lack of understanding here in West Yorkshire. We reported theft and vandalism at our site. Grateful that a PCSO visited. She wanted to know if we had a building where our employees meet and what times our opening hours were.

Sorry you have ditched Gigantes beans. I grow them very successfully, although I don't save the seed for growing as there are too many standard runner beans growing nearby. So good as butter beans in stew.

There is not the capacity for Ministers to do all the stakeholder engagement needed to develop policy. I worked on auto enrolment where officials had tens of thousands of meetings and talks with key people. It made good successful policy. What's not to like?
