Thinking more about this stone, the yellow looks similar to the yellow on shiny Meowstic.
I know the stones don't have shiny colors on them. But if they added it here, then the mega could be a calico, and for the shiny they could just swap the color of the spots like on Togepi.

I noticed that despite the name, Mega Lucario and Mega Lucario Z have the same red/blue dichotomy as the X and Y megas.
(And maybe we should question why the Mega chus broke the blue X and red Y alignment.)

Oh that's funny. In 2022, Pokemon had a 25th anniversary film fest event in Japan that they distributed pokemon at and they gave the Latias from the fifth movie Sweet Kiss.
Only way it could ever get that move, so you know what moment it was referencing.

As much as I want to catch Squirtle, it's feeling like a chore to finish the game and I'm afraid Mom is going to send Pikachu on an errand again. 💀 I can go back to it later.
