Update: my wife just decimated 2743 toddlers with 60 dudes.

But those 60 dudes were nit enough to handle 13 Silverback gorillas. RIP heroes ☠️

The TL;DR - like all things in gamedev, trailers are an integration challenge that require work from the entire team and that work has to be prioritized against working on the game itself.

3) There's a lot to do *with* the trailer after delivery (uploads, localization, caption burn-in, storepages/presskits, delivery to external festival teams, cut-downs (15s or 30s version), etc). Knowing what the process looks like lets us find ways to parallelize those and keep timelines tidy.

2) Discovering additional tooling that we need, like toggles for in-game UI, snapshotting tools for story beats, etc., then estimating build-time for those and prioritizing them against continuing making the game itself.

1) The initializing of the project as well as feedback takes work from the team, so we need a headsup on how to integrate your workflow with ours. We also need an understanding of when other partners (sound contractors, box-art or graphics folks) may need to get involved.

I love the obscene hacks we come up with when doing stuff at scale. This is the way!

But also why a million grocery stores?!
