NEW: The US government has collected DNA samples from 133,000+ migrant children and teenagers and uploaded them into CODIS, a national criminal database originally built for convicted sex offenders and violent criminals, according to documents reviewed by WIRED.

The chart then provides a demographic breakdown: 86% of women and 76% of men were concerned. 72% of 18-34 year olds, 79% of 35-49 year olds, 84% of 50-64 year olds, 88% of 65 and older. 84% of white people, 73% of people of color. 87% of Republicans, 77% of Democrats, 72% of independents. 81% of those familiar with AI, and 80% of those not familiar with AI.
