I love watching movie award shows, but this year it just doesn’t hit. It feels like everyone knows something is about to boil over, yet we’re all expected to laugh at the millionth Leonardo DiCaprio dating joke. The vibes are tense, but everyone keeps smiling and pretending everything’s fine.

On that note, I read about her son and felt awful for him. It’s a reminder that being forced to give birth doesn’t automatically make someone a loving parent. Abortion access matters because children deserve to be wanted not punished by circumstance.
