Happy to share that our paper on corpus analysis of sustainability statements in fashion is out, finally. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/... We also identified seven greenwashing indicators commonly used by fashion firms. All examples come from our purpose-built corpus.

True, but hundreds of times more positive than Trump claims climate change is a con job” and green energy is a green scam. One is at least working towards the right direction, and the other is running wildly towards “god knows what he is doing” path. Mad, sad bad-i’ll delete this post bf entering US
Xi Jinping announced China's new climate targets personally, a positive gesture, but the targets brought little clarity on China’s future emission pathway. Targeting a 7-10% emission reduction by 2035 from an undefined "peak level" undersells China's current clean energy boom.

So this is working on #cleanenergy transition with #windturbine and #nuclearpower station right in my view- all spontaneous 🏖️ 🏄‍♀️

Reading this for a media study, shocked to know 83% of UK oil is exported and the UK has to buy back at market prices. This undercuts the right-leaning newspapers' claims that more North Sea drilling will secure domestic supply during the cost of living and energy crisis.

"vague, generic, overly emphatic" - a classic greenwashing tactic in fashion, as highlighted in my study on sustainability communication. But outright "false" statements? Ignorance of #environmentalregulations or assumption that consumers are sustainability-illiterate? #greenwashing

I've found a funny way to stay motivated for writing: imagining myself is the bell pepper on the right (and yes I am), and the left guy is my goal 😏😱🤥🤑🥳 Seriously, the left one is abnormally big.

We found that Reform's plans to attack renewable energy industries could wipe £92bn off the UK economy and destroy 60,000 jobs by the end of the decade.

These plans would damage our economic health and the health of our climate. 1/2

we would be in a much better state in this country if we stopped focusing on anointing a chosen few working class students into Oxbridge, and instead properly funded all the different sorts of universities that attract students from a wide range of backgrounds already

Data Centers Are Building Their Own Gas Power Plants in Texas - Inside Climate News
Not so long ago, developers of the massive server farms talked about powering them with wind and solar power. But now, with the coming of power-hungry AI platforms, they’re bypassing the grid, building their own gas-fired power plants on site.
