One of if not the best live action versions does have a Gaston, kind of, Cocteau's La Belle et la Bete (1946). Avenant/Gaston's a friend of Belle's brother who wants to marry her & Gaston's face is almost a caricature of Jean Marais the actor who portrayed Avenant. I Don't want his backstory either.

They still haven't filmed the harrowing story of Martian Manhunter's addiction to Chocos.

Kurt Vonnegut wrote a book about essentially that contradiction, the main character grapples with the legacy and psychological toll even a justifiable version leaves. Mother Night is one of my favourite books and I regularly think about this quote from it.

Every time I see whining like Vance's I think of these panels from Marshal Law Takes Manhattan written by Pat Mills with art by Kevin O'Niell.

I've got an old one, Bartolomeo Pagano as Maciste in Cabiria (1914) his performance was so popular he played the character in 20 odd spin-off films. They revived the character in the 50's/60's for a series of sword & sandals films a couple of which featured on mst3k.
Here's a still from Cabiria.

It's clear that only one man could defeat Zohran & that's Louis Tully. He's an accountant so familiar with finance & a lawyer (night school). He understands the needs of the canine population & can get the dead demographic out on election day.
Write in Louis Tully, The Keymaster of NYC's heart.

The New Yorker did check back in with Chuck and the Bailey's in 2017, the wife voted for Clinton but the husband went Trump. His book did get a good review from Newt Gingrich.

Fire the Baileys? But they've been Chuck's imaginary friends for decades.

From the article the district is 92% Hispanic and they may detain anyone without documentation, so potentially a lot of kids. It's cruelty for the sake of cruelty.

That's the kid he took to Auschwitz and has been dragging around for a while though the frequency picked up after Luigi. I believe Grimes said he thinks of the kid as his heir so he might be trying to train him from an early age as well as use him as a pr prop.
