Mom. Writer. Public Historian. Elder Millenial. Social justice Catholic. Pittsburgh girl through and through. The crazy cat lady your mom warned you about.

I hate this timeline and sometimes complain about it.
We've always been silly about our super rich people. The Carnegie Museum of Natural History has a mural where Carnegie is literally a knight and being crowned by angels as his mills churn in the background.

The entire staircase mural is really interesting:

They're expecting to get content for Disney plus out of this. This is all people who have high hopes that they will have found a way to be an entertainment company without actually paying entertaining people.

I suspect that someone at Disney has big dreams of not having to pay writers and actors anymore.

But it's like they have never been on the Internet before...99% of those videos are gonna be Disney characters doing terrible things.

The year is 2025. The first search result for pillows is an ad for My Pillows. The price of those pillows? A Nazi dog whistle.

This timeline is certainly something.

Herbert Hoover won about 40% of the vote against FDR during the Great Depression. And Hoover wasn't even a cult leader. So...this tracks?

Since Trump won, my gut has told me he won because low information voters were surrounded by a constant message of "Trump good/Harris Bad". Varations of that message was pretty much everywhere you looked.
Then he got elected and we remembered why he didn't win in 2020.

You're welcome! I'm partial to Sword/Shield because it's legendaries are dogs, and it introduces these guys who I love.

Even during the Great Depression, Herbert Hoover got close to 40% of the vote in 1932 against FDR.

It's funny because this is one of the things that Jesus was clearest about.

Book of Matthew Chapter 25 verses 41-46.

These men have been mapping out how to destroy America since they were teenagers. And they are straight up bragging about it. What kind of super villain shit is that? It's unhinged.

And maybe this just needs to be part of the Democrats' messaging?

During WWI, in what became known as the "Slacker Raids" police, federal agents and semi deputized private citizens ("special police") just went through cities arresting people, jailing them until they could produce their papers.

Been thinking about this stuff for no reason lately.

The bruise has been on Trump's hand since March of 2024. The line has always been "it's from all the hand shaking." So while telling us, "oh! Never again" they were in fact doing it again.

It this has been Harris' hand the GOP would have forced the issue.

So...let me get this straight: Donald Trump's hand has had a consistent bruise on it since the spring of 2024 and it wasn't a major issue?

"This man is too weak to be your president. Look, he even says shaking your hand leaves him with bruises. Some tough guy we got here!"

It wouldn't surprise me. He also called Fox and Friends last week and openly worried about going to hell when he dies. So there's that. Wild stuff.

The polling is also external. Covering up the Epstein stuff is a losing issue:
