Agree, the mentality and culture is impacted massively by the experienced players in a squad and these experienced players have collectively thrown the towel in far too many times

But yes, everyone seems to be injured this season it must have something to with the training methods. Hoping some of these young signings come to life next season after settling but there’s no guarantee. Worth noting that the approach were taking has work pretty well for Sunderland over time

Yeah I seem to remember JHT or knapper saying something about they’ve signed him in January as it gives a lot more time to acclimatise than if they signed him in the summer. I hope they’re working hard with him on strength as a priority and that’s why he’s fatigued when games come around

The big question is whether Knapper can deliver in the transfer market. We need a real leader in defence and effective replacements for sarge, Sainz and whoever else might leave. I think we’ve seen enough, in glimpses, to be hopeful but not confident for next season #ncfc
