They’ve made a complete mess of the messaging and the optics, you’re absolutely correct. Congressional and Senate Dems have been put in a much weaker position for what looks like a totally self-inflicted wound. Poor leadership from Schumer is what stands out most to lots of folks

Also a great choice. Honestly you really can’t go wrong with anything. One of the ladies was so sweet and gave me a double portion of the stuffed cabbages bc i “looked hungry.” She nailed it

Unfortunately not enough young folks have an adequate picture of a pre-ACA America. Growing up my parents (& doctors) were very careful with who could see my narcolepsy diagnosis. And it genuinely terrifies me that some Republicans are even talking about “high risk” pools again

Not sure how many successful primary challenges we’ll see in 2026 tbh, but I guarantee there are politicians in NY already reaching out to donor networks to challenge Schumer. Give someone like AOC 3 years, and she can beat Schumer for the nomination. Tough for folks to try in 2026
