As someone who goes hard as hell in Puzzle Fighter and Lumines’ versus mode, yes. Absolutely.
are puzzle games fighting games? are fighting games puzzle games? I say yes as long as they are competitive and have pvp action. And so:
while jeopardy is trivia, wheel of fortune is competitive puzzle solving and thus transitively; a fighting game.

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

If someone, anyone has to auction off pieces of their own life story to pay for medical treatment and care, then that is proof positive that the system is irrevocably broken and needs to be replaced with something that isn’t based on profit via the infliction of cruelty.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

This is why I don’t give a damn about how cheap City of the Wolves is. You buy it, you financially support this. Directly. SNK is a dead company, imo.

FGC folks - this is who bought EVO, runs the Esports World Cup, and is throwing obscene amounts of money at Fatal Fury / SNK games.

We cannot support this.

Few things in this world are untouched by evil, but this is a very unambiguous case for a boycott.

Was anyone else obsessed with the joke combos you could do in pocket fighter? And the aesthetic in general…. Gah capcom used to be so fucking silly.

tl;dr everything you actually need for survival comes at a premium
Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

I understand the feelings of loss and abject grief that would cause someone to make this statement, but saying that “fans that haven’t seen a new game in a franchise in three whole ass decades have it easier than fans of a single game that came out less than three years ago” is FUCKING INSANE.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is $23.99 as of 11/10 despite launching 4/24. They’re so desperate for this game to sell, all because the Royal Prince of Journalist Dismemberment isn’t making his investment back after mandating that a real world soccer playing rapist got put on the character roster.

Next Monday, 11/17.

You should show up. It’s gonna be a fun time.

And every two weeks, we’ll be doing it all over again.

Don’t sleep on this.
This is gonna be a match to remember.

If Nintendo is putting things on deep discount sale, things have to be going poorly. They don’t put meaningful discounts on a goddamn thing.

Hey Gaming Bluesky:

I wish a lot more of you cared more about how The Game Awards uses full on fraudulent lip service towards pervasive industry issues to seem like they’re the good guys than you do about what got nominated for awards in the middle of your fandom advertising block.

I’d be much more excited for this if Nintendo wasn’t currently in their “irredeemable bastards” arc.

I think the thing that frustrates me most about the Democratic Party is that very few of the party’s most ardent supporters, members, officials and scions seem willing (or even interested) is asking why it is they’re the only ones with a Trojan Horse problem. They *always* get thwarted from within.

These are the eight Democrats that decided to sign a death warrant for millions. Fuck the “big tent.” There is no tent when people under it decide that a whole lot of people deserve to die. Don’t ever talk to me about purity tests, stay worried about failing one and what it says about you.
November 10, 2025 at 5:23 AM
Only the Democratic Party can look into the face of some of the largest protests in American history, experience some of the most significant electoral gains in recent memory, and still willingly decide to be utterly spineless in the face of a moment that demanded their fortified vertebrae.
