Today is election day in the Netherlands. And one fun side effect of our particular election system is the comically large ballots. That is a photo of the actual ballot you take into the stall with you to cast your vote.

Well...great first impression of Visual Studio 2026. Try to login to my Visual Studio subscription, but all I get is an HTTP 404 page not found. And the "create feedback ticket" button does nothing.

Weird. I also get it on mobile, which I actually did not expect.

I didn't even know this workflow, but you can go to maps from that search result. Just click the "directions".

All it takes will be one giant service interruption for society to collapse at that point.

Updated the class used in a Dapper query on the server-side. No compiler errors, but dotnet watch crashed. Two screenshots, because the stacktrace is looong.
May 6, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Clicking the "reload" link in the yellow "error" bar that appears in the client, reloads, but the app doesn't fully start, and the dev console shows this error.
May 6, 2025 at 1:04 PM
Using Radzen, and added a bunch of RadZenRows with RadzenColumns, then the client had an unhandled error.
May 6, 2025 at 1:03 PM
Updated an empty method definition to contain the actual logic. Changed the return type from Task to ValueTask. Hot-reload seemed to work, but visiting the page resulted in this error in the dev console. The ommited stack trace pointed to where the updated method was called in the page.
May 6, 2025 at 10:22 AM
Renamed another razor page (after a rebuilt since the last error), now dotnet watch straight-up crashes.
May 6, 2025 at 9:13 AM
And then in the browaer dev console, this error.
May 6, 2025 at 9:10 AM
Just now. Updated a conditional render in a Blazor page. Razor element within an '@if'. I just update the if to include a second check and the hot-relead failed with in the JS console: "[MONO] * Assertion at /__w/1/s/src/mono/mono/metadata/metadata.c:1334, condition `<disabled>' not met".

Waiting for #FrogLeap to start. Not sure if the band picks the waiting music, but we went from Korn to Britney Spears.

There is also one on Nijenoord. Wonder how many are in the city.

Typo in "Charater". Also, what is "1 feel"?

Another issue I just spotted. It also happens that Copilot suggests code, but you can't see it because the intellisense popup covers it.

Recently this image was shared on here. It shows that some people are terrible work from home, but some people are working even better than in the office. I work at a big company, and for now they let me thrive at home, while telling underperformers to be in the office more. So far, so good.
