Why does Youtube now use this weird extra wide format fir music videos? It's cropping the top off from the videos.

Figured I give #passkeys another go. They've been out for a while now, surely things have improved since the last time.
Except, they have not. I use #1Password. Sometimes my browser can get the passkey, other times it can't. Same for my Android phone. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't.

Ever since I did some small things in Typescript and discovered how useful discriminated unions are I really miss not having them in dotnet. People have been asking for this for years, but it gets pushed every single time it seems 😕

Today is election day in the Netherlands. And one fun side effect of our particular election system is the comically large ballots. That is a photo of the actual ballot you take into the stall with you to cast your vote.

Well...great first impression of Visual Studio 2026. Try to login to my Visual Studio subscription, but all I get is an HTTP 404 page not found. And the "create feedback ticket" button does nothing.

A while ago I started blocking bigots on Steam. Whenever I was on the forums of a game and someone would ask if the game was "woke", or complain it was "woke", or similar things, I'd just block them. I feel like I'll soon discover if there is a limit to the number of accounts you can block 😔

Is it me, or did #YouTube get even worse recently? I see fewer and fewer videos I'm interested in being recommended. And I see a lot of duplicate videos being recommended on the same page. I'm starting to feel the premium subscription is not really worth it anymore.

I've seen people liken the rise of AI to the rise of the internet. I agree. When internet was new, it was added without any concern for safety or security. The new AI boom is exactly the same.

It also seems, no matter how you describe it, or how many times you tell it not to, #Copilot will always update stuff you didn't ask. This seems to be formatting related. As if it has some internal rules on formatting and will always apply that, even when not asked and conflicting with my style.

Watching CoPilot go completely off the rails. I asked it to add an attribute to controller actions in a file, but it messed with the Swashbuckle attributes with markdown text in string literals. Now it has errors, and keeps making it worse when 'fixing'. It's stuck in a loop now it seems.

Wasn't sure about Vampire: Bloodlines 2 due to it's development cycle. But seeing the reviews makes me very interested. However, removing two clans from the base game and charging 50% extra for them is a deal-breaker for me. I'll just get it on sale at 50% off later.

Sometimes Windows just decides to add the UK english keyboard layout and activate it. You don't notice, until you use something like a quote ("). Then you spend half an hour trying to figure out where the fuck you remove this unwanted layout. Only to find you can't and this is your life now.

Meta is back in court, appealing a $200M fine. Arguing their "pay, or ok" model is fine. And as an extra argument they add that not being able to use it would hurt their revenue. Everytime a corp makes this argument it tells me they fundamentally don't understand _why_ those rules were made.
