It is time for democrats to become extremely angry and extremely vengeful. Republicans have launched a war and must be made to pay.

The same applies to the Conservatives in Canada.
The whole H1-B kerfuffle "comes as a reminder that MAGA is only a stable political coalition when it’s out of power. The thing that unites all these people is a seething contempt for whoever’s in charge when they’re not."

There seems to be a vast under-appreciation for the lines we’ve crossed and the world we’re in.

Trump’s win has basically put us in a post-rules world.

People in power don’t feel constrained by rules and any remaining checks don’t feel empowered to be checks.

The average person’s thoughts about inequality, life, and capitalism are polluted with ideas manufactured and planted by the oligarchs - even though these thoughts counter their self-interest. There is no hope if the poorest among us actively champion the oligarch's causes.

It may be true that cons don't care about the views of liberal voters, but they care about the opinion/support of their base. It just so happens that their base has evolved so that they are incredibly submissive and compliant and therefore lend their support to whatever those in power are doing.
