Yep, this is how it went down. This is why we're focusing in on asking senate primary candidates to call for new leadership. It's not enough to vote against this and then fail to stop it - either you're for a new party or you're part of the problem.

Momentum builds for new leadership!
Now is the time to fight, not surrender. 🗣️

Schumer must step down from his post as minority leader and allow for new leadership to emerge—someone who is willing to consistently fight for the American people.
Progressive group MoveOn calls on Schumer to step aside
"Inexplicably, some Senate Democrats, under Leader Schumer's watch, decided to surrender."

Another win!!!!!

So, We the People vote right, judges are holding up the law and due process ... only the Dems in the Senate don't get it.

FURIOUS at the 8 Democrats who are caving to Trump & MAGA - FLOOD THEM WITH CALLS.

It’s not over till it’s over, if ONE of them flips, this catastrophic surrender will not take place.

Democrats were overwhelmingly united on their shutdown demands.

Americans understood that Trump and Republicans were to blame.

Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump.

Democrats held the cards — and folded for no reason.

From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - we’ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president.

The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.

Warner staffer in DC this morning seemed confused when I inquired whether he had a position on a Senate leadership change. In the sense of like... surprised that such a thing would even be up for discussion. N of 1, obviously. But, y'know.
Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

During the tense exchange, Deputy Chief Agalianos states, "Our community is very pissed off. I'm here to keep the peace... they're upset, they're scared, they don't know what's going on." This footage, from the Save America Movement, documents the full interaction as local police question the federal presence and tactics in their community.
