Rev 18:19

‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,
where all who had ships on the sea
became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’

"What's up?" Bluesky asks.
*me, consumed with my literary analysis of Christopher Columbus's religious encounter with the Garden of Eden in 1498 to understand how Christian exilic identity is romanticized into a colonial aesthetic* "Haha omg I'm vibinnnnn"

The crushing realization that you can't possibly read every book in your lifetime... but maybe you'll read all of these. Speculative fiction written by women of color on display at the undergrad library #Booksky

Taking a course on conflict and we just read Polly Walker's “Decolonizing Conflict Resolution" in American Indian Quarterly. She discusses the Navajo concept of k'e, which in Westerner vernacular I slant-rhyme with "interdependence". Still, I find a lot of peace alone-- how do we find balance?

I started the introduction to this book and read a couple things that made me think, when is this from? Flipped to the publisher's info: 1993.

Almost put it down, but I thought twice. Despite all my historical research, I still have my biases about how much queers have "advanced" in 30 years.

Reading J Kameron Carter's essay "A World for All?" and obsessed with him including and analyzing an entire Walt Whitman poem in the FOOTNOTES of an essay about Columbus and globalization.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND golden retriever lesbians, this one came home and shouted into my face for 15 mins about how much they liked my haircut. then they grabbed a slice of cold pizza and brought it into the shower with them. love of my life right here.

Doesn't bode well for this year that we're getting a high of 72 in Durham today when this was how campus looked last week 😬
