Had this problem a few months ago and ended up spraying a ton of contact cleaner on the sticks and rolling them around. Seems to have worked after a couple times, surprisingly enough.

Doesn't make the situation any less ridiculous, but was definitely easier to stomach than new controller pricing.

As an aside, I was thinking earlier today about stuff like San's "dead where you stand" line and the like. There's apparently a line tweak elsewhere for deathless, but it might've been neat to tweak for no damage too.

Completed my first RTA attempt: 3:23:01 (2:41 in-game). Not a terrible attempt, honestly. No "this doesn't actually work" parts in the notes, so that's a major win. Just needs optimization and practice.
