You and Whose Army Chapter Three is uploaded! Aragorn explores the Dunedain stronghold of Bar Idh, where he finds an overenthusiastic young healer, a local politician, and a very old book.
I don’t have any of these reservations for fanfic btw. These folks “holler” and say “OK” all day.
Haha is it too American to describe people “hollering” in my story where realistically everyone would be speaking Old Irish and not English at all.

Me posting this like I’ve finished the fic I started.
A lot of folks are cranky about the hunt for Gollum film but like if someone gave me a fuckton of money and time I could probably make a non-canon LotR prequel that’s fun and has a fresh take. Or at least write the script for it.

Realizing elves probably think that children being upset is a great travesty and meanwhile Hal’s like “my toddler cried because I wouldn’t let her sleep in the sty with the pigs. My teenager says she hates me at least twice a month.”
He has a toddler, a 7yo, an 11yo, and a 14yo. Each of those are their own separate parenting challenge.

I did this in YAWA too but in my defense breakfast is attested in Middle-earth.
Another minor anachronism in the Cadfael books that doesn’t really matter to anyone but me: characters eating breakfast.

Aragorn spent his whole vacation in Lothlorien 1. making out with Arwen and 2. playing trophy boyfriend while Arwen drags him to various fiber and textile related events.
I need to go back to YAWA so I can write about Arwen spinning.

I was getting tired of writing Aragorn but now that I’ve been on break for two months I kinda miss him.

This is sort of funny since my longest running publicly available project is about Aragorn and Arwen (who don’t have sex, at least, not on page) but look their hotness got grandfathered in because JRRT wrote them that way. Most of my OCs aren’t hot.
I actually write sex scenes sometimes but given that most of my characters look like variations of the “we should improve society somewhat” peasant, I’m not sure people actually want this.
