Curious that whenever someone shows me “the cool #ai flow” they built that’s supposed to be impressive, the conversation goes the same way:

Stage 1: “But you don’t understand. You don’t like AI because you haven’t used it right. Let me show you how much you can do it with.”

Stage 2: “Here are […]

Wednesday's episode of the @doubletap podcast featured an excellent interview with @glenrgordon58 following Glen's resignation from Vispero. This brought back so many good memories! I first met Glen at the very first European dealer workshop in the Black Forest in Germany in July 1996. We […]

This was about coding, but the words “vibe engineering setup” just sent shivers down my spine.

How long until we see a “vibe bridge” coming down?

The city I live in (about 8000 people) has now 9 apartments for homeless people, especially those who need psychological help. This is a great initiative and I hope it will support people to find their way back into employment and regular housing.

Everyone deserves a roof above their head […]

Sorry, when did it become OK to ask people to work for free at 10 in the morning on a Sunday?

A few years ago I would have followed the TPAC hashtag because I would have wanted to know what’s going on.

These days I mute it. Because the questions for me are:

How much CO2 is released with everyone flying around half of the world?
How many people will be infected by viruses like influenza […]

Martinsfeuer in Ochtendung: Das römische Kolosseum brennt ab
In Ochtendung haben Väter und ihre Kinder in mühevoller Arbeit das römische Kolosseum aus Holz-Paletten nachgebaut. Ein kurzes Vergnügen - am Abend wurde das ganze abgebrannt.

See how in one of the shots there are supports for the glass panes visible in the logo? Sure they have been painted out by dedicated CG artists who are essential for these type of projects.

The team made an interesting logo animation with various tools. No tool is better than the other […]

Keep stuff simple. Yes, even your accessibility solutions. A simple approach is less likely to break, which will keep it accessible longer or forever. It might not be optimal for everyone in every situation, but rarely anything is.

Don’t overthink it.

Some more good news this morning – UK children will be taught "how to spot fake news and disinformation, including AI-generated content" in new curriculum. This kind of media literacy education is so badly needed. I've written multiple letters to our MP asking for this over the years. It's good […]

I really don’t like overtaking on the winding roads here, it’s usually not worth the risk. Today I had a slow moped in front of me and a very straight clear stretch of road.

The way electric cars securely and steadily accelerate makes any overtake so much easier and safer. And before the next […]

Hey font people! I have a font with a stylistic set that I like to use, however that stylistic set includes a “slashed 0” which I don’t want to use because it can be misread as an Ø.

Currently I just use font-feature-settings: "ss02" on; but what I need is to exclude the “slashed 0”. Is this […]

Putting open fire into a small conference room is certainly a choice, Traitors UK Season 2 finale. I don’t want to know the pm2.5 in that place.

Clean air is so important.
