Media outlets: STOP normalising racism in the name of people's "genuine concerns".

It's an insult to the millions of voters who watched that Unite The Kingdom protest, and wouldn't be seen dead with any of the racists that organised it, but actually have genuine concerns. It's shameful.

Why is it incumbent on "the left" not to call people who say or do something racist, a racist?

I highly doubt Reform are sitting there going "don't call Green voters commies, you won't bring them on side".

If you're a racist, own it. It's not on the other side of the argument to pander to you.

This whole "Burnham for Leader" saga, says more about UK media, than it does about Burnham!

He created a debate. He succeeded.

The media got excited over something that can't happen, and now they're claiming Burnham's "retreating" to cover their own incompetence. Laughable.

The worst thing Starmer could do right now, is hide behind "process" and block Burnham from standing as an MP.

If he wants to show strong leadership, rise to the challenge and debate him fair and square!

Somehow, I don't think he's got it in him...

A driving licence gives me access to the road in a car.

A passport gives me access to countries.

A national insurance number gives me access to work and a career.

So what do I gain new access to by having a Digital ID???

Richard Tice on Question Time: "we trust our scientists".

Aye, apart from 99% of climate scientists...

Can anyone find "Digital IDs for all" on this chart? 🤦‍♂️

Labour might fancy a bit of Proportional Representation after all...

This interview makes a mockery of one member, one vote.

Imagine if the co-op shop (also a one member, one vote structure), ran its business the same way you guys have managed Your Party!

Your heart is in the right place, but your head is the reason I'll be finding another political home. Sorry.
Zarah Sultana tells the Canary that Your Party rows are a mix of 'desperation and energy'

Zarah had said that disagreement is "part and parcel of being on the left. We argue, we debate, we discuss everything".

So did yesterday's events change this?

I'm not against borrowing if it's strategically spent to stimulate the economy.

I fear Reeves is being made to luck a mug by the lack of ambition and strategy elsewhere in the cabinet.

A common bugbear of mine

RICH ≠ HIGH EARNER

Don't give free market capitalists ammunition to accuse those who want to;

REDUCE WEALTH INEQUALITY

of doing it in the name of;

KILLING ASPIRATION

If you believe in fair pay, you should believe in increasing the number of high earners!

Hey Starmer, this is what a leader sounds like...take note and execute.
Our democracy is not self-executing. It depends on us all as citizens, regardless of our political affiliations, to stand up and fight for the core values that have made this country the envy of the world.
September 18, 2025 at 7:55 PM
As someone who's not affiliated to any party on the left of British politics, what's happening with "Your Party" today is genuinely gutting.

We need a united front...now!

I'd like to see the left of UK politics lean on international evidence for their policies.

The right can shout down opinions of an economic model they and their voters can't see themselves.

They can't shout down evidence of socialist principles working in other countries so easily.

Grassroots music venues are more than stages. They’re community spaces where culture is created, friendships are forged, and future legends are born. Back the campaign to protect them and #OwnTheStage. party.coop/campaign/com...
Own the stage: Save our music venues
We've lost a third of our grassroots music venues in the past decade. To save live music, we need to Own the Stage.

Supporting young people into entrepreneurship is something that's never presented to young people in schools.

They're at an age when they have the life flexibility to really commit to it, and with the right mentorship, so many could excel.

‘The decisions you make aged 16 or 18 don’t have to be absolute.’

@shelaghfogarty.bsky.social believes young people need to be given more ‘flexibility’ when looking at future careers, rather than feeling forced to go to university.

It's not about being a "socialist" or a "commie scrounger" as I've been called many times before. It's about balance!

We've had the same economic model for 50 years and it's simply not working for the majority. You can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different outcome!

It's shameful people feel this way living in 21st century Britain. The "patriots" who peddle this narrative need a strong reminder they're in breach of the British values they seek to protect!

Is it me, or are we obsessed with bricks and mortar in the UK?

Surely we could build homes at far greater speeds (and far lower costs), and create more attractive homes for first time buyers, if we lost this obsession with making new builds look exactly like every other house that already exists?

I remember the days when fully grown adults complained that the youth don't bother voting in UK elections. Well now, more of them can, and today I saw the same adults say they shouldn't be allowed.
