Is the beauty of old things appreciated the same as old people?
Old Things
When youth is at a premium with people paying top, and sometimes their last, dollar to look shiny and new the beauty of old things never really fades. I’m currently in Detroit staying at The Siren. This boutique hotel, in the iconic Wurlitzer Building, mixes decor from different eras. The ceiling features the “original” tiles complete with holes that look like they’ve just had a pipe burst.

Touring Modern Mobile Homes
This week I’m visiting my friend in Florida. She recently purchased two homes for a property. This was possible because these were more affordable mobile homes. This seems to be a constant in her area of Florida. There’s definitely no longer a stereotyped attached to mobile home living. Watch this video to see the options available in very modern mobile homes.

I love this idea! Some comments say it’s destructive to the pavement. Where I live there’s crab grass or some other vegetation in sidewalk cracks all the time.
Can anyone tell me if flowers are more destructive than grass? Would thyme be a better option?

My friend Heather had an old jacket that she wanted made from some beautiful fabric that she’d gotten her hands on. So I cloned the jacket and loved the design so much that I decided to add a few more in that silhouette to my Etsy shop. Here is video of me making and delivering the jacket to Heather. Her excitement made my day.
