That was an interesting read!

In a large org like GitHub with teams in Europe, I wonder what the proportion of Europeans that want to go to the US is nowadays—especially among IC designers/engineers.

Cool! I’ve been playing again with Discogs to build a /vinyls page, maybe connect Apple Music to merge data, we’ll see haha

And for the ones you mentioned, I presume these will come from apps that you use?

Oh nice, what did you include in it?

I had a few questions in my previous post 'Beyond the traditional portfolio', on this format, where to start, how to keep track, etc. Hope this helps and I'm always happy to chat!

Fully agree with going out of bounds and staying curious as much as possible

Titles are in general quite political in large organizations, there are trends, and prefixes like Senior/Lead, etc, quite the chaos.

Nice! Some of these would be nice to have in the native color converter of the clipboard.

Go for it! Cool feed page btw

Yeap that's a good point as well, it's easier to be perceived as "unique" by just sharing a different story with different formats

While we write to be read and create things to solve a pain, I also think personal websites are a unique playground of a kind for makers. You own it; your brain and the available technologies are the only limits.

TL;DR: I think personal websites should be living, dynamic spaces that showcase different facets of you and your work, rather than just static portfolios without any personal touch or depth.

First items I'd suggest adding are a track record, a now section, and a blog.

Love it, would love to know more about the script!

Also curious: did you notice any impact on the way you manage your tasks through the day/week?

If you prefer the writing format, I got you covered as well. Highly encourage any maker to keep track of their achievements, it's always good to reflect on things you've done.

Happy to hear thoughts on it, DMs are open!
