While learning about the tune and the musicians, I saw pictures of Roy Haynes with Bud Powell. I watched Roy Haynes's performances with Chick Corea. I thought of Monk's tune "In Walked Bud," those angular melody! And then "Bud, Bird, Duke."

All those sounds and people!

Later, Professor Manricks gave me the email of Dr. Joe Gilman, who then guided me through this ocean for all the coming years! ❤️

I stole flute/piano unison and low winds accompaniment, and the playfulness and cuteness from "Bud, Bird, Duke" and I loved it!
