Given the choice between no representation and "representation" this terrible, I'd rather have none (or, again, representation in the form of all the other disabled heroes who *aren't* a slap in the face).

Given the numerous disabled superheroes in comics we know there were myriad ways to keep her in the field instead of minimizing her importance and acting as if telling disabled people we should never expect to have agency or matter is anything other than an insult.

The extremely abridged reason why is: Barbara Gordon went from being a superhero to IT support for actual superheroes with extremely minimal narrative agency after being injured.
