I've been watching the 80s TMNT cartoon as sort of background noise and the plots are dumb in a fun way but what I really like... is the incidental music. It's suuuuper nostalgic

Fun boss battle I only barely beat hah. I've seen some reviews talk about how it doesn't reference the AVGN canon constantly l, but I kind of like that? Makes it more than just a "remember that?!?" game

After LttP it feels like we stopped seeing illustrations like these, where the mystery and danger of the world was the focus. The artwork became much more character-driven. Seems to line up with the series' shift in design and perhaps general trends. (Unsurprisingly, I like the original games best!)
Such great cave exploration pieces in this one. The mood in them is awesome. I love how detailed the art is in the 2nd one.

For people who really like movies I get that the conglomeration of studios is bad so I'm not arguing that it isn't, but as a non-hobbyist I think it seems like TV and movies are a little passe and the conglomeration is a symptom of that, I don't really fret for art, it will find new expression!

Damn! RIP Chain Reaction! I saw some GREAT shows there, Q and Not You, mewithoutYou, Make/Believe (and Cap'n Jazz), Engine Down, Minus the Bear, and a good number of other shows. I was likely never going to go again but I liked knowing it was there. Great place.

I'm pretty intrigued by the Steam console ngl, I hope it's not too expensive and it will make my xbox series s even more of a pointless purchase but it would be great to have a unified system to be in especially one where I already have so many games.

The only thing I don't like about deep info dives on social media is that they are usually framed as "nobody else knows this", that usual nerd vibe that they are the smart one. The info is cool, just let us know
