The premium stuff is super expensive, so I decided to gamble on the not so well-regarded stuff on Amazon for signal conversion. Went with ABLEWE for composite, and Newcare for Component. I've heard alright things about Newcare, but absolutely avoid nearly anything else. Further thoughts in thread.

There have been some neat Assassin's Creed games over the years, but I definitely stopped caring about them in any kind of deeper way as soon as they wrote Desmond Miles out of the franchise. They were onto something and then they just sorta tossed it all in the trash.

I like lives in video games. I like the tension of potentially losing progress if you fuck up. I like getting a game over and saying, “ah, well, I’ll give it another go tomorrow.” and then succeeding where I previously failed, feeling like my skill grew.

What a great day to be an old dude that likes video games. re-release enjoyers ate good with that Partner Showcase. Especially excited to get achievables in Castlevania DS and play people online in CvS2, Alpha 3 Upper, Project Justice, Plasma Sword, and even Capcom Fighting Jam.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair (on sale for $3 on Steam) is almost a great game, but forcing the player to re-do a boss fight every single time they lose a life is a very bad decision. I'm convinced that over 90% of my playtime is that. Monumental waste of time. The actual level is fun.

Had a controller crisis for a good while. Always an issue somewhere with everything I tried. Decided to give the Xbox Elite Series 2 a shot on a sale, and have been using it for a few months. It's p good.
