I didn't see any discussion of it when it came out, but they developed Survival Kids for Switch 2 and said they used as many features as possible to exercise them in production.

they changed tack at this year's Unite and instead emphasised incremental improvements and a lot more testing and dogfooding. the improvements in question are still planned but rolling out CoreCLR etc will take time
